This
store opened its doors in 1998. It was in response to a need to ease the
pressure on the 70b Store, particularly during the peak Back-to-school
season. For years the management of the company had been concerned about
customer comfort at the flagship store so, when premises became available
at 74 King Street the purchase was made and the building was refurbished
to accommodate Corporate Offices and a store. The departments responsible
for Educational Promotions, Wholesale & Warehousing, Purchasing, Human
Resource Development and Information Technology are also housed there.
Since that time costumers have been enjoying shopping at 74 and experiencing
Kingston Bookshop’s customer-friendly service; as a bonus, there
is hassle free parking just in front of
the store!!!
Regular opening hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday. Special
opening hours are arranged for your shopping convenience during the
back-to-school period.
Supervisor
of 74, is Mrs. Sonia Hepburn heads a staff complement of 10; she is
assisted by Mr Keru Grant and Alruk Henry.
