It
was a delightful event on Thursday, July 28 2005 as a
team from the Kingston Bookshop headed by Managing Director
Steadman Fuller and Mrs Fuller joined many other members
of the private sector in a Pre Emancipation Day Civic
Ceremony & Presentation of Medals at National Heroes
Park.
It
was the Kingston & St Andrew Corporation’s way
of saying “Thanks” to a number of companies
for “outstanding service and support to the Municipality.”
The Kingston Bookshop received one of seven awards in
the Silver Medal category. MD Steadman Fuller accepted
the award on behalf of the company. Other members of his
team included Directors Sonia Fuller and Shauna Fuller,
Admin Assistant Shernett Jackson, managers Denroy Mullings,
Euphemia Baugh and Ruel Matthie and acting Financial Controller
Lerick McDonnough.
Kingston
Bookshop has been part of the downtown area of Kingston
since 1974. The company is fully integrated into the community
by its locations - 70b & 74 King Street, 97 Church
Street and recently acquired premises at 80 King Street
as well as by their support of programmes geared towards
the development of children and young people in the area.
