The
Warehouse & Wholesale Department is conveniently located at 74 King
Street where it shares facilities with the Corporate Offices, the 74 Store
and other departments.
The department has
responsibility for the receival, storage, care and distribution of all
books and toys coming to the Company. The extensive warehouse has the
capacity to hold the contents of more than ten forty-foot containers
at any one time. It is measures like this that guarantee that the Kingston
Bookshop’s over 276 retailers and chain of seven retail stores
receive required stocks, in a timely manner, to meet the needs of their
respective clientele.
The department has
a staff complement of 28 persons including the manager, Mr Jason Hylton.
Other senior members of the staff include Ms Georgia Cummingss and Mr
Sheldon Welsh.
